Wilfried Zaha & Adnan Januzaj impress for Manchester United

Youngsters Wilfried Zaha and Adnan Januzaj impressed new manager David Moyes despite Manchester United losing 1-0 to Singha All Star XI in their first friendly of the tour.

A mediocre performance from Moyes’ men which many will talk about for the start of Adnan Januzaj and Wilfried Zaha, both impressed on their first-team debuts, with Zaha unlucky not to have scored for United after striking the post with a fantastic curling effort.

Speaking after the game, Moyes spoke about Zaha:

“I thought when Wilf came on he gave us a little lift. He was certainly unlucky not to score with his attempt at goal

“We’ll see how he does. We’re bringing him here to give him a chance

“It’s the first time I’ve worked with him, first time I’ve had a chance to see him up close so he’ll certainly be part of the squad and we’ll see if we can fit him in [to the first team] as often as we can.”

Adnan Januzaj was the other name that will be new to many Manchester United fans, after winning the reserve player of the year at the club he impressed while playing the full 90-minutes in the heat of Bangkok.

Moyes spoke about Januzaj:

“I thought he played well tonight, I thought he was a plus for us

“It’s always good when you give a young player a chance and he shows up, and I thought he did tonight. The more he plays like that, the more opportunities he’s liable to get.”

Manchester United have now arrived in Sydney to train through-out the week before facing A-League All Stars on Saturday.

Enjoy that? Give it a share!

Pls, am tired of hearing we are closing in on the transfer. Get us midfielders to strengthen the sqaud. Moyes do something now

lets united buy players that can make difference and see immediate impact in the team. these young players cannot change anything if it comes to champions league football. quality and aggressive players needed.
