Former Real Madrid president confirms Ronaldo to Man United talks

Former president of Real Madrid, Ramon Calderon has confirmed that there have been talks between Manchester United and Real Madrid to bring Cristiano Ronaldo back to Old Trafford.

Speaking with Sky Sports News this afternoon regarding the Bale and Ronaldo situations at Real Madrid, Calderon confirmed that there have been talks between both clubs in an attempt to bring Ronaldo back to Old Trafford this summer.

He said:

“It seems that Manchester United are interested in having him back. I know there have been talks where they have expressed interest”

It is not the only interview that Calderon has done with the British media over the past few days, yesterday he spoke with TalkSport in which he added to the Ronaldo situation:

“What we know is he [Ronaldo] is not happy at all with the attitude and behaviour of the president. At the start of last season, he tried to talk to the president about the renewal of his contract and the talks did not go well.

“Now I understand he is asking for €20m (£17.5m) net every season. That is going to be difficult for Real Madrid to accept because it is around €40 million every year for the club to pay and that is the situation now.”

Ronaldo is said to want a return to Old Trafford at some point in his career, Real Madrid may look to cash in this summer rather than risk losing their £80million signing on a fee when his Madrid contract is up in the summer of 2015.

Cristiano Ronaldo back to Manchester United might be a pipe dream for many fans, but with Gareth Bale all but signed for Real Madrid and talk from high profile figures such as Calderon stating he is unhappy, it might be a dream that could come true.

Enjoy that? Give it a share!

Calderon isn’t bullshitting this time. The relationship between Ronaldo and Perez is really poor and he is angling for a return to United. I’ve seen private video footage of Ronaldo calling Perez a “dickhead” and that he wants to leave Real.

Seriously?mennn, d way m seein dis, ronaldo 2 man utd mite happn.saw a rummor dt realmadrid want 75million plus chicharito.bt dis doesn,t sort out mid field problems?

By the looking of things now,c.ronado may join man utd this season because he is not happy at real madrid

cr7 to man united z okay buh it willnt solve the main problem now which z mid-fielders,i tnk z btter to buy good nd strong mid-fielders dan buyin him cos we got enough strikers nd wingers like Zaha

The way this summer transfer window is going around, you can’t trust anyone unless the player as well as the club confirms it. Man utd has been linked with numerous players, bt sadly we haven’t managed to get any of them. Lets’ hope that along with Ron we also get Fabregas ir Fellaini for the midfield.
GGMU!!!!

adding C7 to any side is a boost of coz, i love dt. But is not going to be easy to price him out of Real. It may be speculation. I hope United shd be focus on midfielders coz tym is not in our side, dt ws main area we r lacking. Either fellani, fabregas, or any ?

Imagine how much other pl clubs will be hoping that cr7 stays at real Ronaldo on the left zaha on the right and put Kagawa in the center with Carrick with Rooney at number 10 the flair and inter changeable of the attacking players will be amizing Carrick will just hold his position and let Rooney Kagawa and Ronaldo play in a fluid system with zaha sticking on the wing pretty much like bsyern where only riberyvsticks out wide and the rest all swap and change position old Trafford will be buzzing every game and rvp will be licking his lips with the amount of chances they will create for him over 100 prem goals this season but will it really happen or will Madrid give into ronaldos demands of 20 mill net

I will like 2 see ronaldo back 2 man u but is not shot out man u problem because man u need midlefielder like fabregas or fellaini.

Bringing ronnie back would be genius, it won’t solve our midfield problem but it will give united back their fear factor which has been missing for 3 years

United need ronaldo. The fee is irrelevant, his merchandising will pay for that within a year or 2. Why wouldn’t he want to come back to united? Surely he knows that FFP (financial fair play) comes into effect soon and there is no club bigger than united. United will be THE place to be.
